Zipangu

I had to do a lot of crazy stuff to get the Zipangu to work right.

I dyed the whole wig and 3 packs of 48" extensions with two bottles of alcohol and 4 Berry sharpies. I also had to stub the wig, which started out as a Clover wig from Cosworx in their Pink color. I made a foam core for the ponytail using batting and 1 pack of extensions, then wefted the other two extension packs and wrapped it around the stub. So, the ponytail is a little over a yard long. The hair wrap in the picture started out as a piece of plain white cotton, but I sprayed it with Raspberry Floral spray because I'm lazy and didn't want to dye it, then I drew out the pattern in pen and went over it with red fabric paint. The hair comb started out as a balsa wood ornament, which I cut and sanded down to made the teeth, then added a craft foam overlay for the design. The fans are craft foam and toothpicks (OMG so ghetto!!). The ball sticks are wooden beads and a dowel rod. And the little hair piece was made from a length of dyed extension hair that I wrapped around a piece of cardboard and glued on.
