I absolutely love Satoshi Kon (and I actually got to see him in person at a special preview of Paprika here in DC!), and I've been a huge fan of his work for years. My friend Kurzeshaar told me after Otakon that she was going to make a Mima from Perfect Blue, so I offered to make a CHAM outfit to match.

My fiance had an old microphone that he was never going to use, so I cut the cord off and it made for a wonderful prop.

We had so much fun getting pictures with AmazonMandy, who has an evil Mima cosplay (the red dress), and had wonderful fun having her "kill" Kurzeshaar in the stairwells of the Crystal City Hyatt ^.^ We were all cupcakes!

Love your version of the Cham dress! XD
If you don't mind my asking, what did you do to get all the poofiness in your skirt? I'm currently making the red dress that Mima wears and am having trouble getting it to be cupcakey enough. :\ I'm thinking either a separate ruffled petticoat or adding in some tulle layers in between the actual skirt layers and thought I'd start asking around before committing to one idea totally. 8D
