Sally Jupiter - The Watchmen by FireLilyCosplay Sally Jupiter - The Watchmen by FireLilyCosplay
Photographer: LJinto

I had been planning this costume ever since I saw "The Watchmen" in March 2009. Sally's costume was just to die for!

I used a double layer of antique yellow silk chiffon for the dress, with a luster satin for the waist cincher, collar, wristlet, and corset. The glove is dull spandex with gold buttons sewn on. The stockings were purchased, as were the boots (though the wrong ones were sent to me). The earrings were made from two buttons. I did the make up and nails on my own. The wig is an Angela 750 in Red Auburn, and was styled using hair rats that I made of felt, bobby pins, and hairspray. Thank you so much to all the 1940s hair styling videos I watched on youtube!!

Overall, I love this costume. It is very comfortable to wear, despite the 5 inch heels and corset ^.^ And I just love how it makes me feel - very old world glam.

Okay thanks. I'm trying to do a Sally Jupiter cosplay and was originally going to use my own hair but trying to get it into victory rolls and back rolls and stay like that never mind look neat is the hardest thing. I've given up the fight =D

I'm the same - I can't style my own hair to save my life :/ Working on a wig is much easier!

And another question only a few month later lol xD just wondering where you got your boots from, I'm considering using some called Electra 2020 but trying to find the best price for them but wondered where yours were from as they look really good =)

I got mine from ODgirl.com, but I do not recommend them as they took over a month to ship to me and they sent me the wrong ones :/ I had ordered the Pleaser brand "Domina" boot, but the site shipped me something else instead.

Oh right, well the Electra 2020 are a little pricey but it depends where I'll buy them from which will prolly be Ebay as I find them the best when looking for a decent price, I see what they have before I commit to buying anything with another website

I styled the wig myself - it started as an Angela 750 in Auburn.
